Malika Williams is the Founder and Executive Director of The L.I.V.E. Outreach, a nonprofit organization committed to transforming outcomes for youth and families in underserved communities through mentorship, education, and access to critical resources. With over a decade of grassroots leadership experience, she has built and sustained community-driven programs centered on social-emotional learning, literacy development, life skills, and youth empowerment.

Malika's leadership is grounded in lived experience, resilience, and a deep understanding of the systemic barriers that impact families. She is known for her ability to turn gaps in services into structured, community-responsive programming that meets people where they are. Through initiatives such as the Mobile Mentoring Hub and Saturday Learning Sessions, she has created safe, consistent spaces that foster growth, stability, and opportunity.

She is also the author of "I'm Just Trying to L.I.V.E.," where she shares her personal journey as a foundation for advocacy, healing, and change. Under her leadership, The L.I.V.E. Outreach continues to expand its reach, build strategic partnerships, and deliver impactful programming designed to strengthen communities from the inside out.

Author

Malika wrote "I'm Just Trying to L.I.V.E.," a memoir about her experience in foster care. The book is honest about what that life is actually like, and proceeds go to the organization.

Community Involvement

Malika Williams is deeply engaged in community development and youth advocacy work across local and national platforms. She is also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars at Ferris State University, where she has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to service.

Through her leadership with The L.I.V.E. Outreach, Malika actively collaborates with schools, community organizations, and local partners to expand access to mentorship, enrichment programming, and essential resources for underserved communities. Her work includes organizing community events, leading youth development programs, and building partnerships that strengthen collective impact.
