L.I.V.E. Annual Garage Sale

What It Is
The L.I.V.E. Outreach Annual Garage Sale is a community-driven initiative dedicated to supporting children and families in need. Through generous donations, we collect gently used clothing and household items and make them accessible to those who need them most. Items range from winter coats and school uniforms to everyday essentials.
To help sustain our programming while preserving dignity, all donated items are sold for just $1. This small cost supports the organization's operational needs while allowing families to shop for what they need in a way that feels empowering, even in challenging circumstances.
Every donation is carefully sorted by size, season, and condition to ensure that each item is not only practical, but something a child would feel confident and proud to wear.
This program was founded by Malika Williams, whose personal experience growing up in foster care inspired her to create a solution to a very real need. Without consistent access to clothing, something as simple as getting dressed can become a daily challenge. The Annual Garage Sale addresses this need in a meaningful and direct way - community members give what they no longer use, and we ensure it reaches families who can truly benefit.
Together, we are turning everyday items into opportunities for dignity, confidence, and care.
Who Gets the Clothes
The L.I.V.E. Outreach Annual Garage Sale is designed to support children and families who need it most. This includes youth in foster care, families experiencing financial hardship, and individuals in underserved communities.
We partner with local schools, community organizations, and social service agencies to ensure items reach those who can truly benefit. Families are invited to shop the garage sale at an affordable cost, allowing them to choose clothing and essentials that fit their needs and personal style.
After the garage sale, any remaining clothing and items are donated directly to families and partner organizations, ensuring nothing goes to waste and that support continues beyond the event.
Our goal is to create an experience that feels supportive and empowering, where every child and family has access to quality items and the opportunity to select what works best for them with dignity.
